Dr. Kityo Robert Martin

Dr. Kityo is a wildlife ecologist with particular interests in mammal ecology and taxonomy and mammal relations and roles in our natural world. In addition, however, I have wider interests in the broader terrestrial animal biodiversity. My current research interests are as diverse as my interest in the natural world, including

•Bats ecology,

•Bats pathogen discovery and ecology of emerging diseases

•Land cover change and Matrix habitats influences on levels of Biodiversity.

Exploration of fossiliferous sites in Uganda I am employed as the Curator of the University Museum at Makerere University in the Department of Zoology, Entomology and Fisheries Sciences– but also do quite a good amount of teaching undergraduate and graduate classes and mentoring them into mammal ecology research.
